San Diego has one of the best climates and weather of any state in the US. It is typically sunny and in the 70’s year round making it a perfect place to enjoy outdoor activities and sports. One thing is to do Pier fishing. There are several big piers in California and San Diego has a great one. Just make certain to have a fishing license before you go. Another fun thing to do is go whale watching. This area is one of the points where the gray whales go on their migration to Baja California where they give birth to their calves in the warmer water.

This is an urban park with that is huge and has fun mountain bike trails in addition to all levels of hiking and rock climbing areas. They have a couple of surfing schools situated here and some are focused on teaching only kids or women only allowing those groups with a less intimidating experience to try to surf for the first time. Another fun activity is to rent a kayak and go exploring of the area that way. If you have never been sea kayaking, then you may decide to take a class or go on a group tour to feel somewhat more comfortable.
If you are an adrenaline junkie who also likes to do outdoorsy kind of activities, then maybe you want to head to the top of the cliffs that look down on the Pacific Ocean for an exciting thrill.
