The Curse Of Roulette Bandit Machines
If you’re a gambler and you take the time to go into high street bookmakers then you’ve probably noticed that they all now have a roulette bandit. Just in case you don’t know what one is, it’s like the classic bandits in pubs where you try and hit the jackpot, only it’s for roulette.
The principals of a roulette bandit in bookmakers are fairly similar to what you expect from online roulette. It’s basically a random number generator with the animation of a roulette wheel.
I’m very keen on horse racing and therefore I spend a lot of time in bookmakers and every time I’m in their there’s someone sat on the roulette bandit. They’re very addictive machines and it’s very easy to lose control with them.
Due to the speed of play on a roulette bandit you can lose a lot of money in a matter of seconds and this then leads to larger bets to chase losses and everything gets out of control. When you lose on these machines it’s so easy to think “just one more spin, I’ll get it all back.”.
I’ve read numerous reports from compulsive gamblers saying that the roulette bandits are responsible for their addiction and in some cases their ruined life. I know of one particular man who lost his entire life savings over a 6 month period, all on the roulette bandit in his local betting shop.
Modern roulette bandits even accept credit cards, yes you read that correctly so it’s all too easy to keep piling money into them. Most people don’t realize (until it’s far too late) that you cannot win on a roulette bandit, they’re programmed to make money for the bookmaker.
Most gamblers have it in their head that if they keep trying new systems they will finally come across a winning one that will help them win their money back so they will keep placing their credit card into the machine.
If you intend on playing on a roulette bandit remember to leave your credit card at home and only take what you can afford to lose. All things considered I think you would be better of playing roulette in an online casino or even in a real brick and mortar casino.
