Bowling Tips, Bowling For Dummies

Posted by admin | New Cheers | Wednesday 1 September 2010 7:43 pm

Here are some great bowling tips. You don’t have to own your own equipment but if you plan to play a lot, it is a good idea to invest in some of your own equipment. When you buy a ball, you can have it drilled so that it fits your hand just right.

Today the bowling ball comes in a variety of colors and weights. The balling bowls use to be all one size and weight which is 16 pounds. Today the balling ball comes in all different types of colors with the weight ranging from 10 to 16 pounds. When you pick up the ball with your hands make sure the fingers slide in and out with ease.

Now you’re ready to play the game. You want to stand up straight. When you stand up straight your hands motion exactly where the ball should go.

When you start off as a beginner, within a short period of time you can move up to be an advanced professional. Get the basics of the game down first. When you go to release the ball down the alley, practice at getting the ball down straight before you try a hook or a curve. Depending on what body type you have will determine what kind of step delivery you should be using. You have 3, 4 or 5 steps.

Once you’ve got the starting point down the ball making the delivery to the pins is called the pushaway. You swing the bowling ball with your arm down, away and to the right.

Footwork is also very important. After you take your 3, 4 or 5 step delivery, the right leg swings back off to the side, while the left leg stays in the front.

Now your going to want to hit the bowling pins. They are 5 inches wide and the ball is 9 inches wide. Try and hit the pins in the center. Depending on where you hit the pins will determine if others will fall down as well. It takes a lot of practice, but your goal should be to hit all the pins down with one roll of the ball.

Now you’re going to want to work on your timing, where the ball makes contact with the floor. Depending on how good you are with this, will determine what kind of a bowler you will be. Perform the same task at home using pillows.

The follow through comes next. The follow through is the motion of your body coming through with the action of something that you started. Your arms will continue to flow on long after you drop the ball. Your hands should stop once you get them to shoulder height. Pinpoint exactly where you want to go and follow through as you would expect in nature. Those are just a few of my bowling tips.

Check Out This Killer Lower Abs Workout To Have Your Own 8 Pack Abs

Posted by admin | New Cheers | Wednesday 1 September 2010 1:56 pm

What really separates a good set of abs from a great set is using the proper lower abs workout. Everyone is looking for 6 pack abs as part of a healthy and trim physique. But 8 pack abs are what set you apart from the rest of the pack. Here is how you can get those 8 pack abs.

Various Leg Raises Are the “Holy Grail” of Ripped Abs!

There is nothing else that will create a stomach area as hard as a washboard like leg raises will. Crunches don’t even come close. Honestly, I am not sure when people forgot about this exercise, but it needs to form the foundation of your ab workout. Not only is it the best lower abs workout. This is the best way to get ultra-strong contractions in your abs, which is the goal to etch out ab definition.

Ever stopped to look at what goes on in a prison yard?

I have never seen a prison yard live in person, but I have noticed that convicts have some of the most ripped physiques known to man. Author Paul Wade wrote the book “Convict Conditioning” and in it he explains that men who are in prison and do not have easy access to weight equipment use hanging leg raises as their primary ab exercise. He says that by the time a prisoner can do 4-5 sets of 15-20 strict reps of hanging leg raises with their legs straight, they typically have ridiculously ripped abs.

Before Considering Any Other Ab Exercises, Become A Master of Hanging Leg Raises

Not only is this the best lower abs workout, this will work your entire abdominal region. Since you are hanging from a bar, you will develop the detail muscles of the midsection as well. However, you should begin slowly and then work your way up to hanging leg raises. Don’t move to the next tougher exercise until you fully master the previous one. All it will take is 4-5 total sets performed 2 times per week to eventually develop 8 pack abs.

1) Lying Leg Raises 5 X 20: Lay on a padded mat on your back and lift your legs so that your feet are directly above you hips. Slowly and intentionally lower your legs until the fit are almost touching the ground. Raise the legs slowly back up and continue to repeat. Try to work up to 4 sets of 20 reps. If you find this too hard to start out with, try bending your knees at a 90 degree angle to start with and then work up to straightening your legs and lifting. By the time you are on the 4th and 5th sets, your abs will be screaming and you will really feel the burn.

2) Hanging Knee Ups 4 X 20: Grab an overhead bar and slowly raise your knees until your upper legs break a 90 degree angle. Lower the knees back down. This will feel hard at first because your hip flexors will be a weak point. And your grip might be weak. Try to avoid using wrist wraps as you will want to strengthen and develop your forearms as well as making sure you’re functionally fit all over.

3) Hanging Leg Raises 4 X 20: Grab an overhead bar and with your legs straight or knees slightly bent raise your legs until you break a 90 degree angle with your body and legs. Make sure to take time to stretch your hamstrings out before starting this exercise if they seem tight. The key to this exercise is doing it in a controlled and slow manner. Probably less than 1% of the people who regularly attend a gym will have abs that are strong enough to do these exercises properly. If this seems to tough when you start out, work on mastering the exercise by bending your legs close to 90 degrees. As you hold your legs straighter, this will become more difficult.

Following these tips will help you become the master of leg raises for having 8 pack abs.

Needless to say, you’ll need to make sure your body fat levels are low enough to show off your abs. Stick to diet, get your body fat level down low, and become a master the best ab exercise on the planet. If you’re looking for a fast track to those 8 pack abs, this is it! You won’t need to look beyond this exercise. Just 4-5 sets of this exercise is easily the best lower abs workout.
