Prepare For Your Interview Using The Jobs Vacancies

The interview is the second step in the job application process. The first step that an applicant has successfully completed was sending your application and passing the screening process of the company.

An employer will come into contact with a CV through a number of channels, the jobs vacancies may have been advertised on a website, a head hunter was used or the applicant sent it directly to them.

Here are a few tips that will help in having a successful interview.;

Do some research on the company beforehand so that you are able to answer questions on development and ethos.

It is also best to practice with a friend or family member mock up questions that the employer will likely ask so you do not choke during the real interview.

When you go for an interview, it is best to always arrive 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time as this shows employers that the person is punctual and serves as a good attribute in a potential employee, but don’t be too early.

When meeting an employer, you should bring an extra copy of the resume and other documents that are needed if asked certain questions. If your job is all about creativity, you might want to take along a portfolio of your work.

It is always best to dress appropriately. If you turn up in a casual outfit you are not showing the employer that you really want the job. make sure your hair and fingernails are tidy as these are things that get picked up on. If you have a smart suit wear it or choose a professional outfit that does not flash the flesh. Do not try to make a fashion statement by wearing bright colours or very high shoes. Do not put on too much jewellery either.

Greet the interviewer with a warm smile and firm handshake and this will set you on good stead for the rest of the interview.

In order to give great answers, you need to listen carefully to all the questions your interviewer asks you. Do not sell yourself short but accurately explain all of your skills and experiences so the interviewer gets to know the best of you.

Thank the interviewer for their time and the opportunity once you have finished the interview.
